Pick me, pig me

I appreciate that my algorithm feeds me this content, because I engage with it, but the fact that this content even exists is troubling. I am talking about the belief(?) some cis people in the queer community seem to be espousing about trans people – the “LGB without the T” crowd. As if throwing trans people under a bus will somehow save them from their eventual place in the purging of queer people from society. (spoiler alert, it won’t)

So, I wrote this just for them. I know they won’t listen, because there are none so blind as those that won’t see, and that they are in fact very likely cognisant of what is coming for them and are perhaps trying to buy themselves a few more years of freedom before they too end up in the camps.

Anyway, here it is:

I’m LGB without the T
Can’t you see
I’m safe to be
And I will pee

So my plea
Is just pick me

For those like me

I’m gay, not quee

I’m not with them so please pick me.

That was clawed from cishet normativity
And then was gifted gracefully to me
So now I’m blind (and willfully)
Because I refuse or just won’t see
When you’ve won against the T
That you will then come for me
And I will have to flee
