Stone Pegs

Originally this was called “7 years” in reference to the popular idea that our bodies renew themselves at a cellular level every seven years. But it didn’t seem to quite fit with the rest of the narrative so it got changed. I think I got the phrase “Stone pegs” from a Facebook post – its such an odd way of describing teeth, but also sort of tells you exactly what they are.

Anyway, this is, I think, the first short story I have written all the way to the end (although it could be argues that it ends just as it seems to get going, but I’ll leave that discussion for another day).

Here’s the link.
