Following on from the Pick-a-Path stuff I found in my old files, I also came across a piece I’d written back in December 2016, when Brexit had not yet utterly consumed UK politics. I thought it might be amusing to use the “12 Days of Christmas” format for a whimsical (and apolitical) take on events that were only just beginning to unfold here in Britain.
Looking back on it now with the distance of some three (and a bit) years I am not really sure what I was channelling back then, and I’m not sure I’d write it exactly the same way today…
Full disclosure – this isn’t the first “12 Days of…” pastiche I’ve written over the years, and I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last ๐
Anyway, for a glimpse of days of future past on the result of our referendum of 2016, here it is.
2 posts in 2 days! – I should dive through my old files more often.
