I was doing some housekeeping on my (somewhat scattered) writer’s notes recently, and found a file from 2003 called wisdomquotes.rtf(!). Opening it, it was a bunch of ‘quotes’ from fictional fantasy scholars / characters (as opposed to ACTUAL fantasy characters 🙂 from when I was kicking around the idea of writing a Pick-a-Path style adventure book, and was developing some background material to give colour and flavour to the world I had yet to create.
TBH, I have little memory of writing these (it *was* over 15 year ago), but was surprised at how good a couple of them were, for first draft, knocked off in probably no more than an hour type things, only to be filed and then forgotten etc.
Anyway, as it looks like I’m extremely unlikely to ever revisit the idea(s) for the PaP adventures I thought I’d put them up here.
“Ancient” wisdom in more ways than one 🙂
